Hardware, software, networks, energy and robotics continuing their strong evolution, OPA project aims both to develop these areas, to anticipate future synergies between them, prepare the tools needed for this design, and propose the first experiments relating thereto.
Adream thus lies in the emerging problem of ubiquitous systems and autonomous mobile agents located in environments with communication infrastructure for both fixed and mobile resource constraints (computing power) and requiring high performance properties, robustness and resilience vis-à-vis external barriers, whether or not foreseeable (obstacles, failures, levels of trust and cooperation, etc..).
In this context, the dual objective of the project is first to build methodologies and system solutions necessary for networking massive objects and intelligent agents embedded in environments equipped with multiple sensors and actuators, and next, deploy and evaluate the proposed methods and the results obtained in the context of real application and significant complexity.
Batiment_ADREAM Scientific Program

The scientific program builds on the work and existing skills LAAS with a view to integrating both multi-disciplinary, recursive and "systems of systems" category. An initial reflection was used to analyze all research in the laboratory and then propose a comprehensive framework of concepts and validations. To do this, groups of multi-disciplinary task forces were formed, ranging from formal systems development to estimate the corresponding technical support.

Experimental building

The objective is to build technologies and systems approaches necessary networking massive instrumented and intelligent objects with sensors, actuators and processors. The project provides open platforms for hosting research projects, including integrating robots which can evolve throughout the building and surroundings. Mobile robots being tested have required appropriate adjustments (gentle slopes, wide corridors, lifts), including the exterior of the building.

The lobby serves different entities: local research design and experimentation, research facilities related to the optimization of photovoltaic and local tertiary energy.
